    History Otto II, Pfalzgraf von Bayern, was born about 1083-84, the son of Otto II, Graf von Scheyern und von Dachau, and Richgardis von Krain. He married Eilika von Lengenfeld, daughter of Friedrich III von Pettendorf, Herr von Hopfenhohe-Pettendorf-Lengenfeld, and Heilika/Hadewig von Staufen, a grand-daughter of Emperor Heinrich IV. Of their children, two sons (both called Otto), a son Friedrich and a daughter Hedwig would have progeny. Another son Otto would become cardinal-bishop of Sabina and archbishop of Mainz and Salzburg.

    From 1116 onwards, Otto entitled himself after Schloss Wittelsbach near Aichach. He served Emperor Heinrich V and was Pfalzgraf (count palatine) of Bavaria from 1120.   [2
