    William Hill and Margaret Moore were married at Orton, Brunswick County, N.C., on the 29th Sept. 1757, at noon. The ceremony was performed by the Revd. John McDonnell.

Hill and Thomas Hill was offered for probate as such, and it being duly proven to the satisfaction of the court by the oath of William Bettencourt, Joshua G. Wright and William A. Wright that Joseph A. Hill one of the said witnesses is _ and that Thomas Hill the second witness ( has paper?) writing is not a resident of this state...Frederick J.     John Hill, now living on my Plantation called Fairfields, Son William Hill, Son Frederick Jones Hill, two rice plantations known as Swann Fields. Two youngest children John Hill and Catherine Ann Hill, dau: Eliza Hill, now Lord, wife of William C. Lord. (brother): Dr Nathaniel Hill.

    Comment: As you can see, John 2/ Hill knewn he was dying. Of interest, \"The Western lands...\" never tracked it down. May be of interest to someone out there.
